Welcome to Mr. Hicks's Fifth Grade History Class

I'm Torey Hicks, a native to Salem, Alabama. I have lived here most of my life. I am married with one child who is ten years old. I graduated from Wallace Community College in 2022. I am currently in the process of obtaining my Bachelor's Degree from Athens State University. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading , going to the theatre, listening to music, and working in the yard.

I am on my sixth year at Heard. I enjoy teaching very much. My favorite thing to talk about is how important our history is. One of the things I tell my students every year is that I am not just here to teach or educate you, I am here to make sure I make an impact on their lives in a positive way.
